How to change or set your location

If you are not a member

Click on the “Change Location” link to the right of the map. When you click on the link a box will pop up – enter the desired street, city and province/state and click the Send button. The map will then reflect the new address as the center of the radius.

If you are a member

As a member, you can save time by saving one or more locations that you start from when shopping for food. Start by logging in to your account. Then click on the “Change Location” link as above. The same box will pop up, but you will have the additional options to save a new location to your account, or to switch to another location that you have already saved to your account.

If you want to switch to a location you have already added to your account, select it from the dropdown box of your saved locations, and click the Send button.

If you want to view a different location, enter the street, city and province/state. If you want to save the location to your account, also check the “Save” box. If it is not a location that you want to use again, do not check the “Save” box.

Where did that location for my map pin come from? That’s not where I am!

If it is your first visit to the site, or you have not logged in or changed locations before, we will attempt to show your approximate location based on your internet connection, which is supplied by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and is likely some distance from your actual location. By doing this, we hope to be able to provide you with meaningful results “right out of the gate”, by showing you a map that is at least in the right part of the world.

If you (or someone else on your computer) has saved a location before, that information will be saved in a “cookie” on your computer. If you are not logged in, we will attempt to retrieve the cookie information to display the last used location on your computer. You can easily change your location by using the “Change Location” box as described above.

I don’t see a map, what’s up?

In some circumstances, we may not be able to look up your “IP address” to provide an approximate location In that case, the map will not be shown. Instead you will see a form to enter a starting address. Enter the address you wish to start from and the map will be created.
